Alternative Dispute Resolution Services
What is Alternative Dispute Resolution? Or sometimes what is ADR? At Adler Dispute Resolution Services, Alternative Dispute Resolution can be distilled down to three core services:
- Mediation
- Arbitration
While each of these services is unique, they're all centered around the facts and merits of a case and bringing the parties together to discuss the case honestly and openly with an impartial third party. Who you select as your mediator or arbitrator is critical. That individual's experience and insight will determine how they value and understand your position in the matter at issue.
Judge Adler's 17 years as a trial lawyer advocating for parties in your position followed by his 22 years as a Circuit Court Judge offer unparalleled experience and insight. He's handled thousands of domestic relations, civil and criminal cases. Now retired and serving as a Senior Judge, Judge Adler is offering this experience to parties seeking to resolve their cases outside of the courtroom.
Mediation
Mediation is a voluntary process in which a mediator works with the parties to help them resolve the issues in their case. The goal in mediation is to reach an agreement that is acceptable to all parties.
Arbitration
In arbitration, a case is decided by an arbitrator instead of a Circuit Court Judge. Arbitration hearings are held outside of court and are less formal than regular court trials. In some cases, arbitration is required.
